Your IP address is shown above. This page automatically detects the public IP your device uses to reach the internet. The check is free and does not require an account or an app.
You can quickly see your IP address, the country and city of the connection, your internet provider and other available network details. If you use a VPN or a proxy, the address here may belong to that server instead of your original IP.
Websites and online services you visit can see your public IP. It is used to send data between your device and the rest of the network, and it can roughly indicate your location and provider.

This tool shows your public (external) IP — the one websites see. A local (internal) IP lives only inside your Wi-Fi and is listed in the device or router settings. The two numbers are usually different.
Open Settings → Network & internet → Properties. You will see the local IPv4 of the PC. Your public IP is the one in the card at the top of this page.

A public IP can be used to estimate or look up:
A regular public IP cannot show a person’s exact home address. Geolocation by IP is only approximate, and accuracy depends on the provider and the geolocation database.
A public (external) IP is the address the internet sees. It belongs to your provider or VPN server and is used to talk to websites.
A private (internal, local) IP is used only inside your home or office network — for example 192.168.0.15 behind a Wi-Fi router. Several phones can share one public IP through that router.
This page shows your public IP first. Local addresses stay on the device and are not sent to websites.
